We are most grateful for the support of our Moonsplash Sponsors
who help us to continually improve the quality of our shows and
enhance the Moonsplash Experience.

For the past 18 years we have worked to bring the best of reggae and international music to the Eastern
Caribbean through the Moonsplash Music Festival.  Moonsplash is more than a 4-day beach party.  It began as a
musical outlet for  Bankie Banx and has emerged as a showcase for emerging regional talent and a musical
reunion for many of reggae's finest.  Bankie Banx presents the Moonsplash Music Festival each year at The Dune
Preserve at Rendezvous Beach, Anguilla.

Moonsplash 2008
Moonsplash 2008 kicked off with a beachside cultural fair on Thursday March 27 featuring local food,
traditional Anguillian folk music and games on the beach.  The day's events were presented by The
Dune Preserve in conjunction with National Bank of Anguilla.

Moonsplash 2008 also introduced three days of beach parties for the first time in its existence.  The
beach parties featuring Deejays Chu Chu Benz and Marvelous Marvin and live music by One White
Chic as well as Johnny Lloyd.  The daytime beach parties proved to be a perfect compliment for night
time performance.

Tarrus Riley headlined reggae night on Friday March 28 and was preceded by local fusion band
Concepts.  Tarrus Riley was the evening's highlight giving an excellent performance that led the crowd
to demand three curtain calls.  So exciting was the Tarrus performance that the crowd remained at
the venue for over an hour after showtime, rocking to the sounds of DJ Chu Chu Benz.

Moonsplash Legends night was headlined by Steel Pulse and Bankie Banx.  Energetic St. Kitts reggae
rocker Masud Sadiki kicked off a full night of performances that ended well at 4 a.m.  Masud Sadiki
turned in  an excellent performance.

Bankie Banx and The Roots & Herbs gave an emotional tribute to original Roots & Herbs lead guitarist
Irino Hodge who passed away on December 31, 2007.  Third World founding-member and legendary
reggae guitarist Cat Coore stood in for Irino.  After much anticipation Steel Pulse did not disappoint,
with a performance that lasted over two hours and covering the span of their legendary musical
catalogue.

Moonsplash wrapped up with the annual Sunday Beach Party.  This year's beach party was by far the
best attended beach party with games, live music and Deejays Chu Chu Benz and Marvelous Marvin.

Don't miss Moonsplash 2009!
Moonsplash 2007
Moonsplash 2007 featured reggae legend Bunny Wailer and a performance for the ages by The
Moonsplash Allstars including Benjy Myaz, Cat Coore, Junior Jazz, Corey Stoot, Tony Ruption, Onaje
Allan Gumbs, Omari Banks and Bankie Banx.  Listen to a live recording of the Moonsplash Allstar
performance here. Oh yeah, and we kicked it off with a performance by Jimmy Buffett the week before!

Still Moonsplash 2007 will be remembered as the final performance with all of the original Roots &
Herbs band.
