| Where To Stay On Anguilla There are several great places to stay when you visit Anguilla. We've listed a few that Moonsplash and Dune Preserve visitors have enjoyed in past. There are several others and you can get their information from The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB). Visit the ATB website at www.anguilla-vacation.com. If you decide to visit these places tell them you heard about it on Bankie's website. You won't get a discount or anything, just a real weird look! CuisinArt Spa & Resort CuisinArt is a Moonsplash Sponsor and also one of the upscale properties on the island. They hosted Steel Pulse during Moonsplash 2008 and Jimmy Buffett during Moonsplash 2007. They have a great spa, beach activities and every amenity that you might expect. What's more is it literally borders The Dune Preserve. You could stroll out of you room and walk down to The Dune Preserve in 2 minutes. Their website is www.cuisinartresort.com. Meads Bay Villa Resort MVBR is located on one of Anguilla's most beautiful beaches and features fully furnished 1 and 2-bedroom villa units. The units are moderately priced by Anguillian standards. Full Disclosure: MVBR is owned by a great friend of ours - Tom McInerney. MVBR is about 7 minutes by car from The Dune Preserve. Their web address is www.meadsbaybeachvillas.com. Rendezvous Bay Hotel Rendezvous was one of the first hotels on Anguilla and catered to repeat visitors for at least the past 30 years. They are undergoing renovation now and will soon be one of the ultra-exclusive resorts :-( You can still stay there before all the big changes. www.rendezvousbay.com Lloyd's Lloyd's is one of the most cost effective options on the island. The hotel doesn't have beach front access, but its located near town in The Valley and its a 5 minute walk from the beach at Crocus Bay. Their web address is http://lloyds.ai. Anguilla Great House The Anguilla Great House is located on Rendezvous Beach. This is a no frills or maybe limited frills kind of spot. It is one of the most reasonably priced beach front properties on the island. You can walk down the beach to The Dune Preserve in less than 10 minutes and its just very laid back. People usually discover The Anguilla Great House after their second trip and tend to keep this information very close to the vest. The website is www.anguillagreathouse.com. |
| Welcome To Bankie's Web Home For over 30 years Bankie has lived life and made music according to his own rules. After spending the better part of 17 years touring Europe, The Caribbean, and North America, Bankie found himself "Stuck In Paradise." Bankie made the most of his hidden blessing and created The Dune Preserve, The Moonsplash Music Festival, and several albums of great music in the process. Check out Bankie's bio. Moonsplash 2008 was a great success. We enjoyed performances by the energetic and inspiring Masud Sadiki, the crooning of Tarrus Riley and the legendary styling of Steel Pulse. Bankie Banx and the Roots & Herbs also gave a touching tribute to Irino Hodge. 2008 is shaping up to be a great year and we're excited about the many adventures and new friends that we'll meet. Check out our pictures here... Check out our on-line store for your favorite Bankie CD's, DVD's, T-Shirts and other merchandise. Click on any of the items below to be taken to our online store page. We have a fresh shipment of Still In Paradise, Island Boy, Roots & Herbs and all of Bankie's favorites. The Dune Preserve has something new! Maybe you visited The Dune Preserve and saw Jimmy Buffett jam on a stage built from an old racing boat for 4,000 fans. Maybe you've partied at The Planet Dune nightclub, the premier live-music and after hours party stop on the island. The question is, have you checked out The Dune Preserve Restaurant? We've got a great new menu and a premier local chef - Chef Dale Carty. Chef Dale is the owner and executive chef at Tasty's - one of Anguilla's best love restaurant. The Dune Preserve Restaurant still has a casual and fun atmosphere, and Bankie has added even more funky elements including cabanas on the beach, a larger boat bar and a large sailboat deck which serves as the main dining area. We could post some pictures, but we prefer that you see it yourself. Check out the starters on our new menu. On December 29, 2007 we lost a great member of the Bankie Banx family. Tony "Irino" Hodge, the lead guitarist of Roots & Herbs passed away in Atlanta. He was only 49. He left behind a loving family and lots of memories. Irino performed with Bankie Banx And The Roots & Herbs last at Moonsplash 2007. Thankfully we were able to capture this great live performance and are in the process of preparing for the release of Bankie's first ever "live" album. |
